The Wipe, simply known as "Wipe" is a basic gameplay feature in Rust. Wipe refers to a reset in data, and there are various types of Wipes that take place during a Rust game. During these wipes, some or all data is refreshed and deleted, and the game restarts.
Regardless of a server's wipe schedule, a force wipe takes place on the final Thursday of every month as controlled by the Rust administration team. All data is immediately refreshed, meaning the latest a wipe can take place is once 31 days have passed.
Types of Wipe
| Type of wipe | Change during wipe |
|---|---|
| Map Wipe | All monuments are refreshed (loot). In addition, all data is refreshed except
blueprints which remain untouched. |
| Blueprint Wipe | All data remains untouched however blueprints are refreshed and have to
be obtained again. |
| Server Wipe (complete wipe) | All data is refreshed. This is the most common wipe, and regardless of a
server's settings it always takes place on the last Thursday of the month. |
