The coal power plant.
The Power Plant is a type of Monument found on procedurally generated maps in Experimental Rust. It is, generally, considered to be one of the more popular Monuments mainly due to the well-developed infrastructure that it offers as well as rich and varied loot spawns. The Power plant has high levels of radiation despite being powered by coal, seemingly the result of multiple dirty bombs.
Layout
The cooling towers.
A large concrete structure (a large generator room/warehouse) is located roughly in the middle of the plant's premises.
There is a coal chute tower with a conveyor belt connected to both a processing facility and a train car loading bay with silos, alongside a Freight Transit Line entrance; the coal chute tower, the processing facility, and the loading bay are scalable.
The Power Plant also features an elaborate system of piping interconnecting the cooling towers with the rest of the complex.
On the outskirts, one can find a small sheet metal shed and an entrance to the pipe system. The pipe system is also connected to two empty coalpits. A Blue keycard puzzle is also available to solve.
Infrastructure
The Power Plant offers access to a number of different public utilities.
It contains 3 Recyclers, two of which are behind a Green Card door.
Items can be repaired with the aid of several Repair Benches found inside the processing facility.
There are also two Oil Refineries present - one inside the small sheet metal shed on the outskirts and the other one in the two story garage with the slanted and destroyed roof.
A publicly available Pump Jack is located on the outskirts.
A Research table can be found behind the Blue Card door in the generator room/warehouse.
Loot
The storage facility (pre-removal).
All types of loot containers, with the exception of the Oil Barrel, may spawn on the Power Plant's premises.
Regular loot Barrels (occasionally Trash Cans as well) and Food Crates spawn on all ground levels, roads and around the plant itself.
All variants of the Large Wooden Crate spawn, typically, on the upper level of the cooling towers, inside abandoned, crashed train cars, inside the buildings and on their rooftops.
Green Military Crates usually spawn on the upper levels of both cooling towers, on building rooftops and on the top most level of the fuel storage sheet metal constructions.
If a player has an Electric Fuse, a Blue Keycard, and a Green Keycard, it is possible to complete a puzzle that leads to a loot room. Beyond either the green doors or the ladder entrance at the generator room/warehouse, players must hit a switch on one of the generators in order to access the loot room. They must then head through Storage and follow the signs leading to the Control Room and use the fuse and the Blue Keycard. Beyond the blue door, players can find more loot; the total amount of loot from both puzzle rooms is 7+ crates, 5 barrels and a Red Keycard. A poster for Cobalt's Regeneration Program can also be found in the Control Room. A smaller puzzle can be found at the garage, which requires a Green Keycard. Inside the garage is a makeshift shelter, a small office, a crate, a barrel, and one of the Oil Refineries. The puzzle can be bypassed via the Manual Override valve outside.
